Congratulations on your engagement! What an exciting time! There is so much that goes into planning a wedding and so many people that come together to share in the experience. It can be overwhelming when trying to execute your vision and make the best day possible for you, your fiancé, and all of your guests. Your search for a photographer is a big decision and can influence not only your big day, but how that day is remembered for years to come. We always love doing an engagement session and it is an essential part of each of our packages. This is a great time for you and your fiancé to get comfortable together in front of our lens. It's a time for us all to learn how you interact, how much direction you like, and what kind of photos you love. Plus, you get great photos to use for invitations or prints to showcase at your showers, reception, or for the walls of your home!
Our approach is a mix of candid and editorial photography. For most of your wedding day we will be documenting the day as it unfolds. Mom's tears of joy, the quick hand squeeze from your maid of honor, the smile on the groom's face the first time he sees his bride. It is important for us to document all of those emotions as well as all the details and hard work you put into planning your wedding.
We then take a more editorial approach for portraits. We will find the best location and light, then encourage you to interact and embrace as you normally would. Of course, we are always happy to give direction as needed. This is one of our favorite times of the wedding day as we strive to capture your love and connection.
We will make sure you have beautiful images to share with your friends and family and we will help you choose the best way for you to preserve those memories for years to come.
